As you may have noticed while browsing, there are lots of before-and-after pictures. While this is fairly common for dental websites, something unusual about ours is that every picture of a patient or of a smile is the picture of one of Dr. Payet's patients and the treatment was done by Dr. Payet. We believe that it is very important for you to see the real results you can achieve for you, rather than some generic pictures that can be seen on many other dental websites.
Bulimia can be a terrible destroyer of teeth in the same way that sodas and acid reflux, among other sources of acid, can be, and it only contributes to the poor self-esteem usually experienced by these patients. Restoring their smile can be a tremendous boost to their self-confidence during their recovery from this tragic disease, but it can be difficult.
This patient came to us through another patient (we love referrals, BTW - best compliment anyone can give us!) for whom we had completed a challenging smile makeover. It was one of the longest-lasting cases to complete due to a number of complications, but as you can see, the final result was well worth it.
Wayne's case was also challenging due to the severe nature of his teeth-grinding, aka bruxism, which had shortened his teeth just as badly as the acid reflux in the previous patient. He'd let it go long enough and decided that he wanted to have a great smile when he went out to enjoy Charlotte's nightlife or when seeing clients.
Caroline was referred to us by a long-time friend and patient, Scott C., who runs a modeling company in Charlotte. She wanted to increase the number of roles and ad jobs she got and wanted a great smile. She's clearly a beautiful woman, but as you can see in her Before picture, her smile didn't match her. We used a combination of techniques for Caroline: Six-Month Braces, Opalescence Teeth Whitening, and 2 CEREC porcelain veneers, which we made in our office in a single visit. Now she can smile with total confidence!
